FIRE EXTINGUISHER

ABC or Multi-Purpose extinguishers comprise of a special fluidized and silicon zed mono ammonium phosphate dry chemical. It chemically insulates Class A fires by melting at approximately 350°F and coats surface to which it is applied. It smothers and breaks the chain reaction of Class B fires and will not conduct electricity back to the operator.

Co2 is a liquefied gas, which is highly effective fighting B and C class of fires. These extinguishers are ideal for areas where contamination and/or clean-up are a concern, such as data processing centers, labs, telecommunication rooms, food storage and processing areas etc.

Dry Chemical powder extinguishers utilize a specially siliconized Sodium Bicarbonate. It chemically insulates class B , C fires by forming a cloud and cutting off the oxygen supply, thus extinguishing the fire. It smothers and breaks the chain reaction of Class B fires and will not conduct electricity back to the operator.

Foam has the ability to form an aqueous film which quickly over water-insoluble hydrocarbon fuel surfaces causing rapid fire extinguishment and vapour suppression for class b fires. Also it provides excellent penetrating and wetting qualities when used on class a fires. Hence, foam extinguishers are ideal for fires involving volatile liquids and freely burning materials such as lubricant, oil fires, paper, cloth, wood, etc.
